Greeting by the Secretary-General

Dear delegates,

On behalf of the MUNBP organising team, it is my great honor to welcome you all to the 12th edition of this project. The 27th of March, we will be able to experience together a new conference that the MUN world has to offer by performing the essence of debate and international cooperation.

I truly believe that many of you may not fully realize the deep level of learning and personal growth that the MUN experience presents, especially to those who have the courage to step outside their comfort zones. The knowledge we gain here extends far beyond the topics we address in our sessions; every debate, resolution, and challenge gives a chance to learn not only about global issues but also about our own abilities and perspectives.

Participating in an MUN contributes countless benefits with valuable skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Through debates and negotiations, you will gain a further understanding of the complexities of diplomacy and the importance of cultural awareness. MUN also encourages delegates to defend positions you would not typically support, fostering empathy and the ability to understand different viewpoints. It boosts confidence, allowing individuals to speak with trust while respecting diverse mindsets.

I encourage you to make the most of this time, engage with one another, ask questions, share ideas, and collaborate openly. It is through these interactions that we find the inspiration and bravery to tackle the obstacles ahead.

Thank you for your dedication and for joining us in this important endeavor. Let’s work together to make this conference a success and a moment to remember.

Thank you, and welcome to MUNBP2025!

Mercedes Veiga

Secretary-General
