Greeting by the Secretary-General

Dear delegates,

One year ago, I was sitting exactly where you are now, nervous, excited and unsure of what to expect from my first MUN experience. Today, it is an honour to welcome you to MUNBP 2026 on behalf of the MUNBP organizing team.

Model United Nations is not just about dressing formally or memorising speeches. It is about thinking critically, questioning what seems obvious and understanding why the world works the way it does. During this conference, you will be pushed to look beyond your own opinions, defend ideas you may not agree with and discover how powerful well-reasoned words can be.

MUN taught me skills that go far beyond public speaking or diplomacy. It taught me confidence, empathy and the value of collaboration. I truly hope this conference becomes a space where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and learning from one another.

Make the most of every debate, every conversation and every moment. Trust the process, it is worth it.
